Scholarships

Local scholarships can be used for university, college or trade school.

The current cap for local scholarships is

$3000.

Students who accept scholarships from other educational institutions for less than $3,000.00 the first yearmay apply for a local scholarship. The student may be awarded a local scholarship so that the combined total of the scholarships does not exceed $3,000.00.

All students who meet the criteria can apply for "Distinct Local Scholarships" regardless of other scholarships they accept.

Last year we awarded 125 students $156,050 in local scholarships

Graduate from Morgan High School
Take 6 core classes senior year
Cumulative GPA 2.5 or Senior GPA 3.2
Taken the ACT
Eligible for extra curricular activities

Applications open for two weeks the
first part of April -plan on 3-4 hours to
complete all essays and questions.

Letter of Recommendation:Some of our

scholarships require a letter of

recommendation so it is good to have

one ready to go.

Gather all your information about

service hours, work experience and

leadership opportunities you have had. It

will help with your essays.

Class Schedule: You will need to have a

list of your senior year classes for the

application.

Keep track of all your accepted

institutional scholarship amounts so you

know what local scholarships you are

eligible for.

Online only applications:Log in for the

website application works on mobile,

laptop or desktop. Chrome books may

have conflicts so plan for another option.

Tips

To claim your scholarship just send your schedule
to the district office. The funds are then sent
directly to your institution.

Students have 3 years to claim their scholarship -

no need to defer

You will be required to attend scholarship night.

Best Dress is required.
